MP cleared of groping girl

Police last night dropped  a sex assault case against Tory MP Andrew Bridgen brought by a 29-year-old female political aide.
Mr Bridgen, 46, was arrested last week after the woman accused him of fondling her breasts and trying to put his hand up her skirt at his Westminster flat. He denied the allegations and Scotland Yard yesterday ruled that there was not enough evidence to continue investigating.
The MP for North West Leicestershire, who separated from his wife Jacqueline a month ago, is now considering legal action. Read the full story at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2004498/Andrew-Bridgen-sex-assault-case-dropped-police.html.
The saga that Mr Bridgen has suffered is likely to lead to new calls for those accused to sex offences to remain anonymous unless and until there is a conviction. Famous people who have suffered being named in sex cases that came to nothing include Mick Hucknall, of Simply Red, rock star Paul Weller and former TV presenter John Leslie.
Have YOU been falsely accused of a criminal offence by someone you trusted and then been cleared or had the case dropped? You could earn serious money and if you sell your story to a magazine or newspaper.
