Did Princess Charlene try to flee three times?

The new Princess Charlene of Monaco became emotional at her weekend wedding to Prince Albert – but was she shedding tears of joy or despair?

The former Charlene Wittstock is reported in a French Sunday newspaper to have tried to scarper back home to South Africa three times before her marriage.

She reportedly first attempted to flee when she went to Paris in May to try on her wedding dress.

Her next alleged escape bid came later in May during the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Then last week Royal officials were said to have confiscated her passport when she was on her way to Nice airport with a one-way ticket home.
